Groves High School Band Program

The Band Boosters would like to welcome you to the Groves High School band program. It’s time to say good-bye to our Seniors and welcome our Freshman and new band families! We are pleased to welcome our new band director, Mr. Jeff Krum! The Marching Band will be over 90 strong this year. Mr. Krum is working on a terrific and exciting half-time show for the GHS Marching Band. (Click here for welcome letter)

Chicgo Trip Participants - Those students going on the Chicago trip next weekend must attend the practice session during X-blocks this week. All students going on the trip will be practicing and participating in the Beverly Hills Memorial Day Parade on Monday, May 28. Meet in the band room. Practice will be from 7:30 a.m. - 8:15 a.m. outside. Chicago Trip Itinerary (Click Here) and health form

Color Guard Clinic - On Tuesday night, 6 p.m. - 8 p.m., the Color Guard (flags) will meet and have their first clinic. All those planning on being a color guard member for marching band this fall should attend. Come in athletic wear.

Congratulations to all band members on a terrific performance in the Birmingham Parade today! We hope everyone enjoyed the wonderful banquet that followed this afternoon. A special thank you to Patty Reynolds and her team for planning the event!

The next parade performance will be on Monday, May 28 for the Beverly Hills Memorial Day Parade. Meeting time and place will be announced in class this week.

Calling All Band Uniforms!

The Groves Marching and Concert Bands have instituted a new uniform policy this year, requiring all uniforms and tuxes to remain in the school. If your son or daughter is no longer in band, please return their marching and tux uniforms to the Band Room. Please put you name on the uniforms and tuxes. Tuxedo shirts are yours to keep—but we need the rest of the uniform pieces.

All band families are encouraged to join the Groves Band Boosters. The Boosters help to support Summer Band Camp, additional support instructors, expenses for equipment repair and replacement, band travel expenses, awards and many other things that make our music program at Groves the best!
