Cancelled---Band Invitational Saturday, October 1

Parents & Students:

Unfortunately, this Saturday's Band Invitational will be cancelled. One of the participant bands e-mailed today saying that they could not participate because of transportation costs. We assessed the situation and the small number of groups that would be coming (only 2 bands + Groves) does not make this event feasible.

We plan to pick a date for the Fall of 2012 and make strong contacts with more area band directors for a fabulous invitational next fall.

Groves Band Booster Co-Presidents

Description: Prepare to be dazzled by the talents and expertise of local high school marching bands! This is an evening you won’t want to miss. Bring the whole family.

Our largest annual fundraising event, sponsored by the Groves Band Boosters, promises to entertain audiences with a myriad of wonderful music as well as creative marching formations in a friendly competitive spirit. You will be awestruck by the musical talents and diversity of these fine high school musicians. Bands will be judged on a set of predetermined criteria. History: For the past fourteen years, high school marching bands from around the Metro Detroit area perform for over a thousand spectators in Falcon Stadium.
